The Alton Baptist Church is composed of two churches; North Alton and South Alton. ( Blue Mountain closed as of October 1, 2009.) 

 

Our pastor, Quincy Collins and his wife Bonnie visit members of the congregation and community regularly.  Pastor Quincy presents thought-inspiring scriptural messages at our worship services as we are eager to discover and promote God’s Kingdom Vision for our church.

 

We have many opportunities for worship, learning and fellowship for every age.  There are two weekly Sunday morning worship services. 

 

There are lots of youth programs including Sunday School, Awana, Trek, Journey, Worship Bands and a Drama Group. 

 

There are three active bible studies each week, a general bible study that meets at South Alton Church on Tuesday evenings another that meets Wednesday evenings at North Alton and one for ladies held at the home of Roseann Misner on Tuesday afternoons.  There are also prayer groups that meet weekly.

 

There is a Couples and Friends Club, Baptist Women’s Auxiliary, Fellowship Club, Men’s Breakfasts, Choir Practice and Monthly Luncheons.

 

The Alton Recreation Centre (ARC), attached to the North Alton church, hosts a variety of church and community events, including Tai Kwon Do classes twice per week.  (See the facility rental policy on the “Policies” page for details.)
